Employee of the Year – JS J7 Technical Support Team Names Chad Barnes
Each year, Knight Federal’s Employee of the Year (EOY) award for the Suffolk, VA location recognizes the outstanding qualities and contributions of employees towards Knight Federal’s goals and mission. Knight Federal recognizes that driven and loyal employees empower an organization. This annual award recipient for 2019 is Chad Barnes.
Chad is the only one that will receive this award this year. The honor is awarded in December during the Christmas party for an outstanding employee covering the entire year of performance for 2019.
EOY 2019 Winner: Chad Barnes
Chad Barnes has been selected as the EOY JS J7 Tech Support Team for exceptional efforts over the past year. As a member of the Joint Training Synthetic Environment infrastructure team, Chad has been an integral part of the success of the Environment Architecture Division. His work in completing the upgrade of Test Bay 7 was noted by the government, recognizing the quality of his work and the complexity of the project. He is largely responsible for maintaining a CSB posture that is keeping the test bed out of quarantine. This is a massive amount of work on a daily basis and it is a thankless task.
Chad has taken it upon himself to learn the esoteric systems in place in TB7 and has demonstrated a willingness to lean in wherever help is needed. He also brings to the team a knowledge base that is expected to be invaluable for an upcoming tasker, i.e., migration to Solarwinds. One of the “unsung heroes” according to his team lead, Chad is a consistent professional. He has received numerous kudos from the government and his performance is in keeping with the highest standards. Chad is a credit to KFS and the Joint Staff J7 Tech Support Team.
The Employee of the Year will receive:
