Chris Baeten has more than 15 years of experience in the Defense and Intelligence sectors.   As CEO of Knight Federal Solutions, he is responsible for overseeing operations, management of employees, and developing new business opportunities for the company.

Baeten has extensive knowledge in Program Management and developing business within the simulation and training, intelligence analysis, and IT and Engineering fields. Past experience includes supporting multiple agencies within the Intelligence Community, US Army, US Navy, USMC, and the Joint Chiefs of Staff among others in CONUS and OCONUS in support of the Warfighter.

Since Baeten acquired Knight Federal in 2013, the company has had tremendous growth.  It was just named one of the finalists for the 2019 ACG SMART awards and was one of fifty honorees by GrowFL’s Florida Companies to Watch for 2018.

Baeten believes communities thrive when they are supported.  He spends his time supporting Fairways for Warriors as a board member and chairs its annual golf tournament.  Additionally, he has participated in the American Heart Association Heart Walk and the IOA 5K Walk/Run.

He is a graduate of the University of Central Florida with a degree in Interpersonal Communication.  While at UCF, he was involved in Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity, Student Government and Hands for Hospice.

Baeten has been recognized as an outstanding leader and has been named one of the 2019 CEO Leaders of the Year by the Orlando Business Journal and was also nominated for its Forty Under 40 outstanding leaders awards program for 2018.

Matthew Herring has been with Knight Federal Solutions since its inception in 2013 and has been a critical part of growing the company into what it is today.

Since the company’s inception, Herring has been instrumental in every aspect of the company’s growth. His business development efforts allowed Knight Federal to grow more than 40% in the last two years. During this time Knight Federal added over 30 employees. His ability to capture, propose and win business led to Knight Federal’s award of its first prime contract in 2017. In addition to winning the first prime contract, Herring added new contracts and customers to Knight Federal’s portfolio while expanding and fortifying their current capabilities. Being an emerging company, Herring wears many different hats in his role. In the competitive world of government services, Herring’s understanding of the market and network have allowed Knight Federal to be poised for strong revenue growth in 2019 and beyond.

In his position, Herring is in charge of developing business in the Department of Defense and Intelligence sectors, as well as forming strategic partnerships within industry and government.
