Software Test Engineer

Job Duties:

• Candidates will support the design and creation of hardware/software test cases, scenarios, and procedures that incorporates the use of a variety of software applications and tools.
• Performs unit testing, configuration item and system level tests, and support verification/validation testing as required.
• Develops test plans and test reports for all levels of testing performed.
• Closely collaborate with the customers, development staff, and systems engineers to thoroughly understand the system requirements and hardware/software implementation.

Required Skills:

• Must be able to take initiative, communicate with team members, and identify and resolve potential issues.
• Excellent communication skills both verbal and written are required.
• Ability to apply critical thinking and logical problem solving to diagnosing technical issues.

Knowledge in any of the following areas would be considered a plus:

• DevOps experience.
• Hardware troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Experience with Industry best-practice collaboration tools, such as JIRA and Confluence.
• Experience in military Modeling, Simulation, & Training systems or software.
• Active SECRET Security Clearance is preferred, but not required.

Required Education/Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or related technical discipline from an accredited university or equivalent experience.
• Four (4) years experience in a Test Engineer position testing new software baselines, as well as supporting installation of software and hardware at remote sites.
