Responsibilities:

The contractor shall install and configure ShOC-N’s Live-Synthetic Environment (LSE) software and hardware. Set up accounts and workstations. Monitor performance and maintain systems according to risk management framework requirements. Troubleshoot issues and outages. Ensure security through access controls, backups and firewalls. Upgrade systems with new releases and models. Develop expertise to train staff on new technologies.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelor’s in Information Technology, Computer Science or a related discipline; or, have at least four (4) years of relevant experience
• Must have proven experience as a System Administrator, Network Administrator or similar role
• Must have a Secret clearance with eligibility to upgrade to Top Secret/SCI
• Professional certification (e.g. Microsoft Certified Systems Administrator (MCSA)) is desired
• Should have experience with databases, networks (LAN, WAN) and patch management
• Should have knowledge of system security (e.g. intrusion detection systems) and data backup/recovery
• Ability to create scripts in Python, Perl or other language desired
• Should have familiarity with various operating systems and platforms
• Should have problem solving aptitude and a high degree of resourcefulness
